When am I the most Fertile?
Updated: Apr 13, 2020
Women have 2 days of peak fertility in each and every cycle, this is when conception is most likely to be successful. Knowing when this is in your cycle is half the battle. Here's how to check.
If you thinking when's the best time to conceive, it's simple. Always aim for the middle of your cycle, this is when ovulation or eggs release occurs. This allows for sufficient time for an egg to mature and the environment in the uterus be ready to accept a fertilised embryo. This is also signified biologically by a spike in your LN hormone.
For her, your fist day of your cycle is the first day you start your period. If you normally have a 30-day cycle you will ovulate 15 days after the first day of your period. Alternatively if you normally have a 28-day cycle, you will ovulate 14 days after the first day of your period. Both this day and the consecutive day are your most fertile days of your cycle so go for it or use an effective at home fertility booster to get the best results.
Own your journey: determine how many days are in your normal cycle. Half it and you know how many days after the first day of your period you are most fertile. If in doubt use a urine ovulation tester every morning and wait for it to tell you or track you cycle on an app. I would recommend doing both so you can get the full picture of your cycle.
